What does our Animal Electric Fence

We have a german shepherd at home and he loves destroying my wifes flower garden by digging holes all over the place. I tried to train it but had no success with that. I tried this fence around the flowers and after one or 2 shocks the dog goes no where near the flowers. Very helpful.
