Wind Turbine (DB-400)

The 400W wind turbine is our entry level wind turbine, made specifically for residential and small office use in mind. Its DIY set-up instructions and with all the materials needed provided for, you will be able to set the wind turbine up in no time at all.

The 400W wind turbine is durable, low maintenance and the lightest wind turbine we currently have weighing at only 7.6 Kg. Coated with special high weather tolerant spray to protect the wind turbine from the elements such as rain and the harsh UV rays from the sun. It is a completely self-sustaining stand-alone device that will continuously generates 100% clean GREEN renewable energy, without you being present or around it.

The MPPT of the 400W wind turbine is built within the wind turbine itself. The MPPT is specially designed for each individual wind turbine, the special design allows you to get the most power out of the wind turbine as well as to protect your wind turbine from overcharging.

How to use our wind turbines

Our wind turbines are built for direct and easy construction. We supply you with all the necessary parts and tools to construct and erect our wind turbines. All our wind turbines come with instructions on how to construct and erect the wind turbine. Once fully installed the wind spins the glass fiber blades, which turns a shaft that is connected to a generator that converts kinetic energy into clean, free, renewable electricity which is then either directly used or stored for later use. 

Where can our wind turbines be used

Digimax reinvented wind turbines that are small, compact and versatile enough for your backyard, apartments, offices, farms and many more at the fraction of the cost but with multiple benefits.

We suggest you consider the following for the location of your wind turbine:

1.       The distance from any obstacles that will cause turbulence such as trees.

2.       The distance between from the MPPT controller and the battery.

3.       Local zoning restrictions.

4.       Clearance of power lines.

In general the higher to the wind turbine the less obstruction to air flow it will have. We recommend the wind turbine to be at least 6 m high for our land based wind turbine.

Compared with others, it is a very small wind turbine designed for battery charging in my yard and small contributions to my household electricity. Basically this turbine is an ideal power source for low power applications in the distance where the power grid cannot reach. Just 2 m/s is required to start rotating it. The enclosed MPPT performs very well other than traditional controllers. I have seen one set up at my friend’s parking lot along with solar panel and LED light. It is a marvelous hybrid lighting system so that I want to build up my own as well. By the way, speaking of DIY products, it is fairly easy to assemble and install.

This turbine is well built. It's installed in my garden that provides power for lighting and water pumping. So far it performs very well on windy and sunny day. It made a "moan" sound when generating power. Low noise and good output. This turbine actually make us more energy independent and less reliant on city grid. Very good job.

It's great ! I set up for a while and it works smooth very well. So far, it generates power every day, and it' s really help me to solve power problem in my yard. Other good thing are it's easily to instal and almost no noise. Perfect. I will recommend to my friends who looking for green power.
